I love Echidnas. Most people know that they are one of only two species of mammal that lay eggs. However lots of people don't know that in breeding season males form lines behind a female and follow her around in ‘trains’. The male that lasts the longest in the train wins the chance to mate with her. 

There are many wild Echidnas around where I live, and I love to watch them frollicking around on logs searching for ants.
